Re: Re-imaging the Divine (re B. Wolf, motherhood)

My goodness! I woke up this morning to discover that I have acquired two
new absoluterly charming, witty, intelligent daughters, and I thought the
rest of you on the list would like to rejoice with me. I already have three
daughters, you understand--all of them charming, witty, intelligent. You
may have met one of them--Molly. But now I can add Deborah and Bethany, who
have been kind enough to this poor, doddering old lady to ask me to adopt them.

You'd best take notice, some of you, that I defend my young.

Deb and Bethany: Be sure to keep your rooms and your minds tidy. Brush
your teeth and floss your adjectives. Don't speak with strangers or consort
with sloppy rationales. And whatever else you do, Never Talk Dirty--I don't
care, but the neighbors might overhear. Now say your prayers and go to sleep!
